This bush camp resides along the Ashburton River, and it’s suitable for self-sufficient campers. The access is via an unsealed road but doable with a 2WD. The permanent natural pools are an amazing sighting in the otherwise dry region. An abundance of birdlife and some crocs!

The Lake Ellendale

Lake Ellendale camp lies beside a waterhole on a property belonging to Ellendale Station. It’s one of a kind with cattle roaming around, so don’t forget to close the gate behind and bring snacks for the friendly cows! There are no amenities; as a result, you must be self-sufficient.
